Tired of the some old basketball
game? Where the game seems to be going nowhere fast? Well, my friend, it's
time to take it to the Street! If you've ever wanted a game that showcases those kind of moves that you'll only see ounce in a normal NBA game, NBA Street is the one for you. One of the best sports titles for the PS2, NBA Street is a high-flyin', fast-paced game, not intended for the weak of heart. Anyway on to the actual review-as I mentioned, sweet moves and high-flyin' dunks play a quite gigantic role in this game. And, in turn, the shoulder buttons play an equally large role, mainly because you use them to pull of the sweet moves and high-flyin' dunks. And even though it'll take practice, the setup is quite ingenious. And as with any PS2 game, graphics play a big role, and EA Sports was up to the challenge, producing one of their best creations ever. Well, now, it's time to look at game modes, an aspect that has ruined or saved many games. In City Circuit, you'll enter an ID, create a player if you like, and enlist the help of NBA great Michael Jordan, to go up against the best ballers in the nation. Hold the Court: now in this mode you'll be up against random squads of NBA players. You'll also be able to earn looks, outfits, and new shoes for your created player. Plus, you'll get a few creation points on the side. And, finally, the last mode: Street School, where you'll be taught the basics of ballin' from Joe the Show (big, sometimes annoying guy with a megaphone.) NBA Street is a must for the true NBA fan, however, I can become repetitive at times. |
