The KIDS MONTHLY Newsletter

Announcement!

As of May 5th, 1998 The KIDS MONTHLY Newsletter is officially slowing down! I have found a very good Star Trek site for kids (I happen to love Star Trek in case you didn't know), called the United Federation of Kids (UFK), and I have been working almost of exclusivly on being a crewmember (Lieutenant Commander David, Chief of Security) of the ship there called the USS Conquistador. I invite anyone under 18 to join one of the ships there if you have an interest in Star Trek. There is a mailing list, chat room, and message boards, and the main activity is writing logs, which are stories about the missions that the ships go on. Because of this exciting club, I have fallen behind on new issues of The KIDS MONTHLY Newsletter. Currently I am not designing any new issues, but I will probably soon start doing it quarterly, with only four issues per year. In the mean time, you can still enjoy all of the back issues, there is over a years worth! Please check back soon for more updates!

This site will be going through a major update soon, which will give it a whole new look. The frames may even be dropped. Be sure to come back soon and check it out!

Since March 21, 1998 you are visitor number:

Our new address is:
http://www.kidsmonthly.com
This is now in effect! (As of Tuesday, February 10, 1998.)

Our new address is registered and working!

You can still access us at our old address, which is http://members.aol.com/kidmonth, even now that the new domain is working. In fact, you are actually still at http://members.aol.com/kidmonth, even if you used http://www.kidsmonthly.com to get here (take a look at the address in the address bar of your browser). That's because right now I'm using a service that forwards visitors to my real address (http://members.aol.com/kidmonth) when they enter my new domain name address (http://www.kidsmonthly.com). The problem is that some older browsers do not support re-directing, so if you use a browser other than Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer (I'm not sure if it works with versions under 3 with these browsers, either), you may still have to type in http://members.aol.com/kidmonth to get here (or you could bookmark this site, which I highly suggest even if your browser supports redirecting! Also, you'll get a page from a company called NetNames that says that kidsmonthly.com has been registered but not forwarded if your browser does not support redirecting). As soon as I can, I'll figure out a way to spare $19.95 a month for virtual domain hosting.
